Wedding Season

Wedding Season

Last week I got to be a part of a fun, lighthearted, and unexpected bridal photoshoot. Bridal Boutique put me in a gorgeous foofy ivory dress, make-up/hairstylists and owner of FLAUNT  Christine Gardner worked to give me a flawless face

( FLAUNT ), and photographer extraordinaire Kris Labang shot photo after photo while I pretended to be a glowing bride. (He promised to photoshop Ryan Gosling by my side… still waiting Kris! 😉 ( Kris Labang Photography )

Weddings have been on my my mind anyways as I’m preparing for not one, but three in the upcoming year.  Four if you count the fact that my sister is actually having two weddings. (not complaining- hello Mexico AND Santa Barbara) The other two weddings belong to my best friends Jackie and Megan which will take place in Chicago and Lake Tahoe (can i just say thank you  &  huge mahalo for choosing amazing locations :))

Wedding Season

Jackie & Ted

My  happiness for them is unmatched. I’ve been with these girls through all of their serious relationships- the bad and the worse. My favorite was when Jackie went on SO many horrible dates, that she actually created a blog about them.  Her adventures in dating were hilarious to read.  Like really, a guy trying to dine and ditch at an ice cream shop? Thankfully bad dates are all in the past.

These men who have entered their lives are the ultimate winners (ok the gals are pretty lucky too.)  They understand and appreciate the astounding women they have in their lives and smart enough to put a ring on their fingers and get em on lock down 😉

This marriage thing seems to be catching on, I look around to see many people in and surrounding my life settling down.  It amazes me the different paths we all find ourselves on.  There was a point in time when I thought at 24, I would find myself in that position. The beautiful truth is that I couldn’t be further from it.  While a few of the people closest to me are starting an exciting new chapter that includes “I do’s” and “forevers” – the only thing I am certain of is I have a huge part of this globe left to explore and countless more connections to be made.  Applications for extremely cool and easy going travel partners available now.

Until my own time, I’ll just enjoy their love and the celebrations. IT’S WEDDING SEASON!!!
“What do you like better , Christmas or wedding season? “
” Yes, the answer would be, um, wedding season.”
