Real Winter Wedding: Megan & Tommy – Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe

This week’s Real Wedding is the beautiful celebration of Megan and Tommy, held at PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn in Lake Tahoe, CA. Two feet of snow had fallen the weekend before the wedding, making for a beautiful winter backdrop. The couple spends every weekend possible in Lake Tahoe together in the winter so the location was the perfect place for their wedding celebration.

The wedding ceremony was a quick 25 minutes outdoor setting, with classic Christmas tunes playing in the background. They served their guests hot chocolate, coffee and tea along with hand warmers and shawls to keep them warm. Unique touches like cones full of biodegradable snow was placed on all the aisle seats to throw at the end of the ceremony which made it very fun and playful for their guests. To keep warm the bridesmaids wore Uggs and Sorel boots under their long gowns.
