Sensoria Smart Sock Fitness Tracker

Sensoria Smart Sock Fitness Tracker

Ever think a pair of socks could help you achieve your fitness goals? Now they can. Sensoria is using the latest in textile and cell phone technology to not only track how hard you are working out each time, but also how well you actually exercise.

The Sensoria Fitness tracker system is made up of a pair of Smart Socks, an electronic Anklet that magnetically attaches to the cuff of your sock, and a mobile application. To gather accurate step, altitude, calories burned, and other data, Sensoria combines an altimeter and accelerometer technology with a slew of textile sensors positioned under your foot.

The sensor filled socks are comfortable, washable, and designed for runners. Smart fabric sensors send pressure data to the Sensoria Anklet which then uploads data wirelessly (Bluetooth Low Energy) either via your computer or through your smartphone when you are outside.

Workouts can be tailored to match the type of terrain, your individual foot strike, posture, and even desired cadence or stride length. Audio cues will let you know when you fall out of the ranges you set for each parameter. For example, the textile sensors in the socks can detect in real time where you land on your foot, delivering audio cues to let you know that you are heel striking or running too far forward on your feet.
