Hello all you brides and grooms-to-be and wedding lovers out there! I’m so thrilled to share my new stationery collection exclusively for Wedding Paper Divas. You can shop and view the complete collection here .
I got my start in the wedding industry working at a stationery store—in fact, it was my first job after college! I’ve always felt a strong connection to creativity and design. This of course comes in handy when planning weddings, but I was so excited to get my creative juices flowing in a new way to design this collection.
So how did this collection come about? Working with the Wedding Paper Divas team was really amazing. They have a tremendously talented team and I’m so proud of what we created here. When we first began to brainstorm, my biggest goal was to create a collection that showcased versatility; I wanted each design suite to be representative of the vast personalities of couples, so the collection includes a variety of designs that are sure to suit many styles.
Many of these designs are reflective of what I predict to be some of this year’s top wedding trends:
- Chinoiserie: Chinoiserie, which is French for “Chinese-esque,” incorporates Asian influences throughout. This trend is not just something we’re going to see in weddings but will be a big trend in home décor too. I love that this theme can be peppered throughout the entire wedding including furniture, fabrics, floral designs, and more.
- Color Blocking: We’re modernizing color blocking and giving it a sophisticated makeover. This time the colors are full-bodied and jewel-toned. Adding in metallics for contrast will also add a luxurious element. Bridesmaid dresses and florals can certainly carry this color trend too.
- Green Living Walls: We’re going green this year and letting love live! I see nature and the outdoors being a major element weaved throughout weddings with everything from statement walls of shrubbery to moss, succulents, vines and more.
- Romance and Lace: Quintessential romance here – there’s nothing more romantic than lots and lots of lace, combined with color schemes in blushes and creams, creating a candlelight atmosphere throughout.
- Watercolors: There’s something soothing yet magical about watercolors and carrying the ombre effect throughout a wedding. Imagine bridesmaids dressed in a variety of soft, complementary colors from the same hue and ombre floral designs with coordinating linens and tablescapes.
