Today, Yakima releases their new StreamLine System–a more aerodynamic and completely integrated roof rack system. We were treated to a first look at the new system in Hood River last summer and believe it will make buying and installing your next roof rack system so much easier, regardless of budget.
The StreamLine System is built on a new collection of towers and clips which can adjust to most vehicle shapes, resulting in 50 percent less inventory for you to choose from based on the old system. The collection includes the BaseLine Tower and BaseClips for naked roofs, RidgeLine Tower and RidgeClips for flush side rails, SkyLine Tower and LandingPad for fixed points, and the TimberLine Tower for raised side rails. Tower sets retail for $199 with clips between $48-$96 for a set.
Four different crossbar styles–CoreBar, JetStream Silver, JetStream Black, and RoundBar–integrate with the new towers to maximize vehicle styling and cargo capacity for any sport. They offer a variety of materials, shapes, and price-points so you can customize your system.
- CoreBar ($119 per pair). The first steel aerodynamic crossbar on the market, the CoreBar combines the strength and utility of steel with the unique JetFlow teardrop shape that minimizes wind noise and maximizes fuel efficiency. It is available in four sizes – up to 20” longer than other aero bars on the market.
- JetStream Silver and Black ($195 per pair). The JetStream is a premium alloy crossbar, engineered with a T-slot attachment and a wind tunnel-designed aerodynamic bar shape noise reduction. Its SmartFill technology makes switching out accessories a breeze. Available in three sizes.
- RoundBar ($89-$159 per pair). The tried and true steel crossbar. Available in five lengths to fit any vehicle.
The new Yakima StreamLine System along with a couple new trunks racks and cargo boxes are available now.
