Socks are not the sexiest gear to talk about but important nonetheless. Some of your favorite companies are releasing new socks for Spring 2011 that will ensure your feet stay comfortable regardless the sport or weather.
SmartWool has created a line of merino wool toe socks for use specifically with your Vibram FiveFingers. The toe sock colors complement those of the new FiveFingers line for Spring 2011, while also embodying the fit, comfort and breathability that make them classically SmartWool.
SmartWool's new Hiking Ultra Light socks are perfect for warm weather use. The company has also added an Ultra Light Micro to their PhD Outdoor line. This new lighter version of the micro sock height is a great sock to wear with a lower profile hiking or trail running shoe during the warm summer months.
Craft has come up with an entirely new sock program. The Swedish sportswear specialist is introducing a line of individually designed, sport specific socks. The high tech materials, body-mapped mesh panels and pressure points in the socks are adjusted to meet the various demands of bikers, runners and cross-country skiers. The collection is further divided into three temperature categories offering the right sock for the right conditions.
Injinji has added a new Midweight Performance Toe Sock to their line. The new sock features a 360-degree cushion knit sole for extra support in the heel and sole when hiking. The Midweight Performance Toe Sock will be released in November and retail for $16.
