Military Wedding | Birds of a Feather

This navy and white naval wedding is the quintessence of military matrimony! From the waterfront overlooks to the crisp uniforms, we feel in love with Megan and Joe’s wedding day – captured by Birds of a Feather Photography and planned by TreBella Events . Maggie and Betty of Birds of a Feather shared with us the trials that the couple faced when planning their big day!

“Megan and Joe had a lovely wedding on the water in Southern Maryland! Joe is in the Navy and after his deployment schedule forced their original wedding plans to be rescheduled (just 4 weeks prior to the date) they ended up pulling everything together for what Megan said was an even better wedding day than she could have hoped for. She actually was able to secure her dream venue after the reschedule and it all worked out to be perfect.”

Start by printing any (or all!) of the free wedding cell phone case designs below. Design your very own. Or, even print out one of your engagement or wedding pictures! Make sure you print onto matte style photo paper or brochure paper. If you use glossy paper, the gloss finish will stick to the cell phone case and look funny. Matte style paper is best.

Lay the flat side of your phone case onto the printout, center and trace around it. ***Here we are using an iPhone 5 case, but all these designs will also fit the older model iPhones.

Carefully cut the design around your traced line.

Slip your cut-out into the clear case to make sure it fits properly, if it doesn’t – trim where you see fit or print out another one!

DIY | printable wedding cell phone case + GIVEAWAY

For the camera hole, I tried multiple ways to cut that perfect oblong – with no success. I found the easiest thing to do is just cut the corner off. With the printout in the case, trace the camera hole so you know where it is – and then cut the corner off.

Slip the finished printout into the case and snap onto your phone. That’s it. It’s that simple. You could change them every week if you wanted. No gluing required. Your phone will firmly hold the paper printout perfectly in place!

Fall Wedding Ideas – Pumpkins

There’s no better way to say fall wedding than with a pumpkin. It sums up the style and theme immediately and creates a warming sense for every guest in sight. We love the striking burnt orange color against a stark white dress and the fact that you can actually paint one to your specific color. There’s so many ways to incorporate one into your wedding and what more is it’s a big money saver (if you don’t mind putting some handy work in).

Fall Wedding Ideas – Pumpkins

Fall Wedding Ideas – Pumpkins

If your budget is tight, then why not have your maids carry pumpkins or at least for a sneaky photo, we love this style above and love how the bride has carefully selected blooms to work with the pumpkins.

Tip: Make sure you scoop out the pumpkin to make them lighter or buy mini pumpkins to ensure your maids don’t end up with a bad back.

If you don’t want anyone carrying a pumpkin then why not just take a few photos in the farmers field, this really does say ‘fall’ and ‘rustic’.

Pinned Away | Be Inspired

In the world of weddings, Pinterest has found a home! So for all of you Baysiders we’ve comprised a list of the top wedding trends that are here to stay! With all the amazing summer wedding celebrations being pinned and repined, creating this list was easier said than done!

String-lights

String lights in the wedding and/or wedding reception are a romantic wedding decoration that we think will stay a popular trend for many years to come. This accent can be adapted to any season or color scheme, and it looks too beautiful in pictures!

Unique Cake Topper

A sweet accent that has evolved is the cake topper. While many weddings still use the traditional bride-and-groom statue, some couples present the cake with a more unconventional topper, such as this couple’s zombie topper or the couple’s names! This zombie apocalypse themed wedding has a cake to remember!

Pastels and Neutrals

Muted tones are also taking over the color-scheme of many weddings this year! So much, in fact, that some bridal gowns now have a hint of color, such as Claire’s gorgeous pink gown. This dusty rose color is a Bayside favorite!

Sparkle

A more dramatic yet fun accent to many weddings for  now and always is glitter. Every wedding has sparkle, of course, but now brides are adding it to their silverware, wedding cakes, and in the bridal party attire! What bride wouldn’t want to wear these to her wedding?

Ombre Petal Aisles

Another wedding ceremony feature that never grows old is a long, petal walkway toward the altar. Many weddings are playing up this part of the wedding, incorporating pops of color, or, like the Barnhill’s wedding, arranging an ombre petal walkway. A petal walkway is always romantic, but the touch of color brings life and depth to the ceremony’s venue.

Country Charm

If you are planning your wedding, or have a Pinterest, you already know the popularity of rustic weddings! Mason jars, baby’s breath, and barnyard venues bring romantic appeal to country chic! This trend is only becoming more current because of the elegant yet easygoing warmth all the accents bring to the wedding.

Hashtag Weddings

Last but not least, a new addition to the wedding plans includes the whole world – the whole social media world, that is! Brides and grooms now ask their guests to post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media during the wedding as a way to make their wedding known. This is an amazing way for guests who could not make the wedding still feel involved! We do recommend keeping your phones and cameras away during the ceremony though!

We love using Pinterest as a way to help our Baysiders keep updated with the latest wedding fads and to celebrate the couples we post here on Bayside! If you’re planning a wedding, Pinterest is a great source of not only inspiration, but of neat DIY projects and quick tips, as well! Happy wedding planning!

engagement | Louis-Pier + Andreanne

“I am a real nature-lover and fond of afternoons at the lake. So when Andréanne & Louis-Pier asked me if I would be willing to do their engagement session at Lake Mercier Tremblant, I accepted without hesitation! If it were only up to me, I would take pictures in the Laurentians all year long: the sky is so blue up there, and the mountains in the background are just beautiful! We had so much fun at this session – these little birds are sooo in love, it’s a nice thing to witness and such a delight to capture.” – Sonia Bourdon Photographe

“When my fiancé’s brother got married two years ago, Sonia did a terrific job on their engagement and wedding photos. So good that we had to look no further! We both love her personality, and the light that emanates from her shots…

..Actually, it might be shorter to list what we’re not DIY-ing! I love to paint, sew, and shop for vintage accessories, so I make the groom and groomsmen bow-ties and pocket squares (you can see them on etsy; my shop is CheminDesBoises – recently, I’ve been getting lots of orders from people that want to add this out-of-the-ordinary/fun/vintage look to their wedding party). I painted a wooden sign that you can see in the images above, and that will be at the door at the venue. I also grew basil, mint and other fine herbs to give to our guests. Among other things, I made the ring pillows, name tags, and menus. My favorite is the wedding sash and the headband that I made with a really good friend of mine. I can’t wait to wear them! It’s a secret, but my fiancé and I went to buy an old tandem bike to make our entrance at the dinner. It’s gonna be great, with a flower basket in the back along with a JUST MARRIED sign and tin cans attached in the back :)

engagement | Louis-Pier + Andreanne

..Well it’s hard not to say our honeymoon, because we’re going to French Polynesia where we rented a sailboat! I’m also looking forward to walking down the aisle, as well as saying our vows to each other, although that makes me a little bit nervous too! – Andreanne, the bride-to-be
