“I am a real nature-lover and fond of afternoons at the lake. So when Andréanne & Louis-Pier asked me if I would be willing to do their engagement session at Lake Mercier Tremblant, I accepted without hesitation! If it were only up to me, I would take pictures in the Laurentians all year long: the sky is so blue up there, and the mountains in the background are just beautiful! We had so much fun at this session – these little birds are sooo in love, it’s a nice thing to witness and such a delight to capture.” – Sonia Bourdon Photographe
“When my fiancé’s brother got married two years ago, Sonia did a terrific job on their engagement and wedding photos. So good that we had to look no further! We both love her personality, and the light that emanates from her shots…
..Actually, it might be shorter to list what we’re not DIY-ing! I love to paint, sew, and shop for vintage accessories, so I make the groom and groomsmen bow-ties and pocket squares (you can see them on etsy; my shop is CheminDesBoises – recently, I’ve been getting lots of orders from people that want to add this out-of-the-ordinary/fun/vintage look to their wedding party). I painted a wooden sign that you can see in the images above, and that will be at the door at the venue. I also grew basil, mint and other fine herbs to give to our guests. Among other things, I made the ring pillows, name tags, and menus. My favorite is the wedding sash and the headband that I made with a really good friend of mine. I can’t wait to wear them! It’s a secret, but my fiancé and I went to buy an old tandem bike to make our entrance at the dinner. It’s gonna be great, with a flower basket in the back along with a JUST MARRIED sign and tin cans attached in the back :)
..Well it’s hard not to say our honeymoon, because we’re going to French Polynesia where we rented a sailboat! I’m also looking forward to walking down the aisle, as well as saying our vows to each other, although that makes me a little bit nervous too! – Andreanne, the bride-to-be
