Today, we are feeling quite merry that we get to share this fabulous winter wedding! Arielle and Eliot were married in New Jersey, at the Valley Regency. Everything about this theme is perfect for the season.
From the Bride:
Throughout the wedding my husband and I wanted to take our friends and family on a journey with us. We had little parts of our personalities sprinkled around throughout the day. We had special touches, such as a cigar roller and a live painter. I surprised Eliot with a groom’s cake, he surprised everyone with a guitar solo, and my dad and I did a one of a kind choreographed dance.
We had every detail covered, from a memorial for loved ones who had pasted, to our wedding hashtag on the cocktail napkins. On a special note: We even honored my aunt who is battling cancer with smiley face yarmulkes, and balloons for the bridal party pictures. It is a personal symbol of her journey, and when she walked in, she instantly knew it was for her.

Today’s Real Wedding features the intimate wedding of Krista and Ryan, which took place at the Randall Museum at the top of Corona Heights Park, in San Francisco, California. What are you planning for your Parisian style wedding?
When we hear the words “Parisian” and “pastels” the first thing that comes to mind is macarons (of course!). Here’s a lovely, elegant DIY idea for your favors if you’re planning a French flair affair. Wrap your favors up pretty with a simple clear box and a bit of ribbon . Your guests will love (and love to eat) this sweet, delicate treat.
Since so many of our friends and coworkers around the office are getting engaged this time of year and there will be plenty more this holiday season, we wanted to share some of our newest save the date cards and save the date card etiquette.
After you are engaged, one exciting step along the wedding planning process is your engagement photo session. It is great to have an engagement photo shoot because it allows you to get to know your photographer better, bask in all your love, and the photos are perfect for a photo save the date card or save the date magnet .
After you are engaged and have shared the news with your close friends and family it is time to send out your save the dates. These are sent out in advance to notify for your guests of the upcoming wedding and give them time to make travel plans, especially if you are planning a destination wedding or holding the wedding on a holiday weekend.
You should send your save the date cards around 6 months before your wedding and if it is a destination wedding around 8 months prior to the wedding.
Since you are sending the save the date before the wedding invitation you have the opportunity to be fun and informal, even if your wedding is going to be a formal event. This is the chance to show your true personality and creativity and have some fun along the way!
The most important thing to remember about a save the date card is that it shows your guests they will also be receiving a wedding invitation and will be invited at a later date. Etiquette states you cannot send a save the date card to someone and then not invite them to the wedding. Make sure you have time to work on your guest list before sending out these cards so no one will need to be “uninvited.” If you are not completely sure who will be on your guest list you can send your save the date cards to only your very close friends and family that will be attending for sure and later on send the wedding invitations to the other guests. This will ensure you are not committing yourself to any but your most important guests.

Planning a rustic-themed wedding or holding a reception at a winery? If you love wine and love to DIY, this is the perfect little project for you. Simple and affordable DIY cork place card holders are a great way to add a personalized touch to your reception.
First things first. This is the fun part! Drink lots of wine and start saving the corks. Or collect them from friends and family. You can also visit your local specialty grocery store or wine shop. Some stores will have a collection of corks for free or for a minimal cost (depending on location). After you gather your corks, you can get started on this quick craft.

Mr & Mrs Smith is a brand I’m totally unabashed to say that I’m obsessed with. It never fails to disappoint. After organising my dream wedding and finding out the wonderful news that we were expecting our first bundle of STG joy, I was exhausted.
