Diptyque Candles: The Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Gift

The holiday season all but crept up on me this year, but a {not-so-swift} Saturday stroll down Fifth Avenue reminded me that Christmas is right around the corner.

This year I promised myself I would be prepared… and no matter what event came my way, that I would have a stash of luxe little giftables perfect for every scenario.  And if said scenario doesn’t come around.  Well even better… because I will have great gifts for me.

One of the first little luxe finds I snatched up came from Nordstrom.  And ok, ok, maybe I secretly want to keep it for myself, but it did take everything in my power to wrap them under the tree…

Diptyque Candles: The Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Gift

My get-out-of-jail {or holiday party}-free gift of the season is the stylish trio of art-deco inspired Diptyque candles in pretty little holiday jewel tones… aren’t they just too uber-chic for words?  I’m obsessed with the palette, the pattern and the scents – from Amber Oud {red} to Oliban {plum} to Sapin Dore {green} – these candles are thoughtful, luxurious and just personal enough to gift nearly anyone on your holiday list.

Happy shopping!

Bridesmaid Dog,Surprise On Wedding

Bridesmaid, your best friends? You can think something that is more interesting. Dogs are friends of people especially when you have raised the dog for a long time and you will have a deep relationship with the dog. They want to share the happiness withe the dog they love and they think that would be fun. And actually it is fun.Let’s take a look at of all kinds of cute bridesmaid dogs.

Bridesmaid Dog,Surprise On Wedding

This cute chihuahua is look into the mirror in the dressing room and at the same time keep company of the bride. Your people bridesmaid can also have fun with the dog when waiting for you to get dressed up and finish your makeup. It is always fun to play with a cute dog.

What you need to keep in mind is that the dog won’t bite. The dog better to be gentle. There will be lots of people the dog never seen and he might also be nervous or afraid so have someone to keep an eye on the dog to comfort it. Also protect the kids on wedding. Kids sometimes are naughty and they might make the dog angry or annoyed.

Bridesmaid Dog,Surprise On Wedding

Personally I love this golden retriever very much.Golden retrievers are very clever and they understand what you are thinking and talking about sometime. It is not only wise but also safe to have a golden retriever as your bridesmaid dog. Golden retriever will not bite people if people are nice to them. What a lovely dog. How do you think about golden retriever?

Bridesmaid Dog,Surprise On Wedding

English bulldog is said to be the saddest dog in the world. Look at its poor eyes and big poor face. Do you feel sorry for him? But some people just love bulldogs. They are strong enough and if you let it take a board saying:here comes the bride will be a surprise to the guests on the wedding ceremony. The first thing is that you are going to have an outdoor wedding. So the dog can run and you know, something that it needs to do.

It might not be convenience for you to take a dog when you are walking down the aisle with your husband-to-be. Why not have someone to take the dog for you ? For example you can have one of your friends or family member to take the dog. After the dog is you with your bridesmaid wearing fabulous skirts. How lovely! Bridesmaid Dog,Surprise On Wedding

Peacock Wedding Theme

Do you want a special wedding theme ? As winter is coming do you want a warm wedding in the cold weather? What you can think about is a peacock wedding. Peacock is not commonly see actually. You can have an elegant peacock wedding and here are some suggestions on peacock weddings.

Here is a peacock glass. Yellow peacock decorating the glasses making the glasses classic. These glasses are also a little bit costly. But in order to have an unforgettable wedding it is worthy. There glasses are my favorite after seeing so many glasses. Wish you also love theses.

This pair of glasses are also elegant. Blue cup and with the support of peacock decoration. When the new couple toast to the guests and hold theses two glasses full of wine how happy it will be.

Peacock Wedding Theme

Maybe the toughest thing is making a peacock wedding cake. The colors and shape of the feather is hard to make. Here are some great peacock wedding cake for your reference. It is elegant one. Topper of the cake is the head of a phoenix. Green is the main color of he cake like the phoenix. Pink flowers decorating from bottom of the cake to the top of the cake making it even more beautiful. This is only an example of peacock cake. There are plenty of other styles. Peacock Wedding Theme

This is a simple one.White cake and dark blue and green feather decorations. Topper is made of feather and flowers. True feather and true flowers. It might be costly and pay attention to your wedding budget. Peacock Wedding Theme

Groom wearing such a brooch is also really cute. Small details sometimes are more important than anything. Details can show the taste of the people. Of course this is the only choice of what the groom can think about how to be related to peacock.

Sometimes you can also have a peacock head wear. It is suitable to medium length hair or long hair. The hairstyle is easy to do. Your makeup artist will help you and also help you with the hairstyle.

Invitations cannot be forgot. Vintage wedding themes can think to use this invitation. Attach a peacock on the invitation cards is nice and your guests will be pleased to see the beautiful peacock. The peacock can be a souvenir to the guests. Keep it for several years and then take it out it will be really sweet.

Well the most gorgeous and breathtaking thing come.

DIY Bridal Hanger

DIY Bridal Hanger

Today’s DIY project is about making wedding hangers for Brides on their special day. I’m excited about how the hanger turned out and it was relatively easy to make. Just a few simple steps to decorate the wooden hanger itself, then bending of some wire to write out something cute in cursive!

I used a wooden hanger and broke off the bottom part of it. I picked up some twine from Michaels and used a hot glue gun to glue the string down as I wrapped it around the hanger. I bought two pink flowers and found some fake pearls/rhinestones at home, then glued them to the middle of each flower to give it some sparkle for about $4. Then I got some Jewelry wire that is lightweight, malleable and easy to work with for about $3.

Materials:
-wooden hanger
-hot glue gun
-jewelry wire (12 gauge x 3 yd.)
-twine
-two fake flowers/rhinestones or pearls

Directions:
1. Break off bottom part of hanger. Wrap twine around hanger while gluing it down each time.
2. After wrapping entire hanger, take rhinestones and pearls and hot glue to inside of the flowers. Then glue the flowers to the hanger.
3. Take the wire, straighten it out with your hands or using pliers to bend into cursive letters.
4. After writing the word in the wire (I wrote Bride), take excess wire and wrap it around each end of the hanger.

“These two lovebirds were married at the awesome Anchor Inn in Pasadena Maryland on a perfect October day! Jen and Sean knew how to throw one heck of a party! With a focus on fun, family, food and love, their wedding was a true celebration of a marriage and a love. We loved her modern and pretty take on a fall wedding with the florals in not only fall colors but also with hints of gold and champagne. Her gorgeous bridesmaids dresses were some of our favorites, and provided the perfect color for the gorgeous bouquets to “pop” off of.”

Joyful Summer Wedding with Classic Details

I love this wedding that I'm featuring today, but there are two things that I really love about it. One, you have to see these photos! They're so full of light and pure joy, which you would think would be easy to capture at a wedding, but I'm not so sure it is. Brittany and Brendan just look so blissfully happy, and photographer Alicia Thurston does a great job of capturing and exploiting that to the max. The second reason I love this wedding is how this beautiful couple met. "Brendan lived across the street from me and I'd had a crush on him for years!" said the bride. Really, how cute is that? It sounds like it came straight out of a romantic comedy, don't you think?

After dating for five years, the couple finally got engaged. "We had started talking about getting engaged, and one afternoon he took me to Tiffany's to look at rings. After we left, he said that based on what I wanted, it wasn't the right time financially and he didn't want to compromise on the ring I wanted, so we'd need to put off for a couple years. He proposed a month later during a ski trip in New York with my dream ring! He was so nervous while we were driving there that he drove 80km per hr almost the whole way, which meant it took us forever to get there and it drove me nuts. He had picked up the ring that afternoon and the credit card company called based on his very large purchase. I answered his phone because he was driving and once I told him it was a security call from Mastercard, he nearly slapped the phone out of my hand and told me to 'HANG UP, I'll CALL THEM BACK!!!' Needless to say, he's a horrible liar and after a very long wait at the border since he weirded out the Customs, I wasn't expecting much out of the weekend. We took our dog for a walk and he proposed in this perfect picturesque gazebo all lit up with lights."

Brendan and Brittany were married this past June at Balls Falls Conservation Area in Ontario, Canada. The entire wedding was funded by them, with some DIY help from close family and friends. The groom's mom actually painted a picture of the front of the barn reception venue, which was then used for their wedding invitations, and the bride's mom handled all of the beautiful flowers (Brittany's favorite - hydrangeas). One of Brittany's friends kindly baked all of the pies with fresh flavored whipped cream, while her stepdad's bluegrass band handled the musical entertainment. "Brendan and I spent forever making the playlist for when the band finished playing at the reception," said Brittany. "We went through every song and decided whether it was dinner or dancing music. When we disagreed and one person thought it was dancing and the other didn't, we had to illustrate our point by dancing to it."

I think that it's clear from their wedding photos and the stories that Brittany shared that this couple is really in love and not afraid to have some fun. When asked what they love most about one another, Brendan replied with, "I think it has changed over time, but right now, it's her strength and how much stronger and more confident she makes me. She'll be an incredible mother; I feel sorry for anyone who so much as looks at Brittany's child the wrong way – she's very protective...I'll reiterate, terrifyingly so). And I love her ass." Brittany says, "I agree that it's changed over the years (and my ass is amazing – joking!!!). For me, this past year has been a little tougher than usual and mild mannered, amazingly polite and kind Brendan has fought for me and created a safe and loving home where I can have the space and support to figure it all out. Plus, he still brings me coffee every single morning. It's heaven."
