Hello, Bayside Bride readers! After last month’s post on Dressing for a Bayside Wedding , I was honored to be asked by the Bayside Bride team to make these styling ideas a monthly feature! So, now you’ll be hearing more from me on a regular basis, with a boatload of styling ideas. Let’s take a peek at this month’s look:
Muted Colors:Blush, Gold, and Gray Wedding Look
When I’m pinning on Pinterest or creating wedding inspiration boards, I find I’m really drawn to muted hues like blush, pale pink, and gray and the subtle sparkle of silver and gold. These calming colors just look gorgeous together, and make for romantic and soft wedding with an edge of glamour.
Pastels made a big comeback earlier this year, and from some of the dresses I’m seeing for spring, it looks like they’ll be here to stay year-round. For those of your looking ahead to a summer or spring wedding, these colors are a natural consideration, but my feeling is that they are so neutral, they wouldn’t look out of place in any season.
Bridesmaid Look
For this bridesmaid look, I’ve paired a peach-pink strapless dress by Thread with pretty floral and pearl gold and pink accents. I just love the way gold and pink necklace and gold sparkly earrings looks against the blush peachy-pink, with some touches of gray in the taupe shoes. A soft pink bouquet like the one shown here would be the perfect floral accompaniment. Very ladylike!

Bridal Look
Now that Jessica Biel and other celebrities are choosing pink wedding dresses, pink is becoming an even bigger trend in bridal looks. If you’re a fan of this hue, but you’re not ready to completely forgo the white dress, there are many delicate, shimmering ways to bring a little pale pink into a traditional bridal look.
This amazing Suri gown from Wtoo†by Watters with its tulle layers is a already very beautiful and feminine. To make it even more of a blushing bridal look, I’d add a pale pink sash. (I’ve shown two sash options so you can see some of the detail, the sash shown on the main image comes in pale pink option.) † I layered in more touch of pink with these stunning Alexis Bittar earrings , †a sparkling bracelet from Amanda Pearl , and these pretty-in-pink Badgley Mischka peeptoe pumps .

Groom and Groomsmen Look
The combination of pink and gray together is so pretty, so to harmonize with the pale pink bride and†bridesmaid touches, I think this soft gray suit is a great choice for the groom and groomsmen. †This suit shown is cotton, but if your wedding is fall or winter, a thicker soft gray suit in wool would be best.
Instead of a pale pink tie with this ensemble, I thought it looked better (and might get more buy-in from the males in the wedding party) if this look was tempered by this muted mauve tie that has just a touch of pink to it. †This suit comes with a optional vest, which I think makes for a really finished look, and I’ve also show a white shirt with French cuffs as an alternate to the blue shirt shown, to make the outfit a little more formal and crisp, with the addition of some cufflinks.

Gift Ideas
If you’d like to carry the soft pink and gray theme into your life after your wedding, these subtle colors are making their way into housewares, fine china, and appliances, too! Imagine setting an elegant table with the pale Chapel Hill pattern by Kate Spade , or whipping up some favorite cookies with this pink mixer.

Well, perhaps this subtle color combination has found its way into your heart, too. I hope this has given some inspiration to others in a muted color mindset.
