Video game lovers are gearing up for the imminent release of Mafia III , the latest in the open-world mob simulation series inspired by cinematic greats like The Godfather and Goodfellas, with the new installment situated in 1968 within a fictionalized recreation of New Orleans.
A rather spectacular launch trailer for Mafia III has just arrived, and it’s got an equally spectacular soundtrack—courtesy of West Coast pioneer DJ Shadow and fellow icon Ice Cube .
Titled “Nobody Wants to Die,” the grandiose new track features a choir suggesting that “everybody wants to go to Heaven.” It’s enough to make us want to play the game yesterday, already.
