Hi friends! I’m excited to share with you one of my favorite travel and destination wedding spots – Hawaii! Chances are, you’ve visited Hawaii before, or you already have a pretty good idea of what the islands have to offer! However, whether you’re going for a summer vacation or celebrating a wedding with family and friends, I’m here to tell you there’s more to Hawaii than you think! When you let go and truly take in every experience, it can make your trip that much more memorable!Hawaii is so romantic – it’s no surprise that it’s become one of the most popular destinations for couples for everything from proposals, to weddings and honeymoons!

Hawaii is the perfect backdrop for the ultimate destination wedding. There are so many unforgettable spots to pop the question, say “I do,” or dance the night away with your guests! There are six major islands that make up the state, and each one has something special to offer your wedding or honeymoon!

For the ceremony and reception, the Napali coastline on Kauai has timeless rugged cliffs and lush green valleys that are just begging to be in your wedding photos. If luxury is more your style, you have to check out all of the gorgeous and laid-back resorts on Maui! Maui is also home to charming small towns, and is perfect for the couple looking for a leisurely wedding or vacation.

If you’re looking for sunset romance, Molokai is the place to beat! You’ll never forget a romantic sunset ceremony on the beach. Finally, one of my favorite wedding or proposal spots is Lanai. It’s small, secluded, and simply serene, and you can’t miss Sweetheart Rock nestled in the cliffs! Sweetheart Rock, or Puu Pehe, is named after a Hawaiian legend that tells of two lovers, and is just a 15-20 minute hike from the Four Seasons Resort Lanai!

After the wedding, Hawaii has (almost) even more to offer the honeymooning couple! Oahu is home to some of the best snorkeling, sailing, and surfing – perfect for you to enjoy your favorite sport or try something new together! In addition to the upbeat and athletic activities on Oahu, they are known for their delicious cuisine! If you like Vietnamese food, you have to try The Pig and the Lady in Oahu – it’s the most amazing farmer’s market style street food!

Another great option is to go back to simpler times, and surround yourself with authentic Hawaiian culture on Molokai.

Lastly, Hawaii Island has enough to entertain you for your entire honeymoon in one pretty spot! Between the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, beautiful sun-kissed beaches, and some of the best stargazing in the world, you’ll never run out of fun new things to do together! One of my favorite things to do on Hawaii Island is swimming with manta rays. You don’t even have to be a certified diver – You can just snorkel and the experience is still just as magical!

Even when planning a wedding or event, sometimes the best moments are unplanned and unexpected. Those happy moments will be the ones you always remember! I love to use Hawaii as an excuse to unplug, be present, and enjoy the people I’m with and the places we go!
