GoGear Canadian Member Only Gear Site

GoGear Canadian Member Only Gear Site

Often on Twitter I see Canadians who are jealous of the deals we outdoor enthusiasts can find south of the border on member only sites such as The Clymb, Planet Gear, and LeftLane Sports. Well get ready to crack open a Molson, as you Canucks now have your very own member only site in The Great White North. Canada- meet GoGear.

Aaron Muller, long time outdoor retailer in the Vancouver area, originally co-founded the website Canadian Cartel back in 2011. The site sold excess inventory for Canadian action and adventure gear suppliers. After growing the site for a few years, Aaron recently raised some capital and rebranded/relaunched the site in order to reach a wider gear obsessed audience.

GoGear reminds me of the early days of The Clymb, offering a couple of great deals at a time on a large variety of outdoor gear at 40%-70% off retail. Current deals include Sanuk Footwear, Alpinestars apparel, and Pop Headwear beanies. Upcoming deals include Rossignol apparel and Scott goggles.

Like many private sale sites, GoGear is able to offer great prices in part by not warehousing any gear. This means once a sale is finished, all orders ship together out of the brand's warehouse where they are picked and packed to ship out to you at a distribution center. For this reason, shipping times could take up to 3 weeks, but vary from sale to sale.

Membership is free and only requires an email and password for signup. After joining, invite your friends to become members and you earn $10 credit towards your next purchase. Gift certificates are also available in $25-$100 increments.

Things are looking up Canada!
