The stakes are always high whenever two disparate acts decide to intertwine their talents and do the cross-pollination dance. However, R3LL and Alizzz couldn’t have handled the task any better than the way they owned the place with “Visions” back in May. A potent hybridization between R3LL’s urban-stained Jersey Club ‘tude and Alizzz’s lofty electronica mood, the joint endeavor was one of four rightfully hyped collaborations taken from the former’s sophomore EP issued by Dim Mak. The entire package brought out the best from the Brick Bandits cohort, underlining his innovative nature as an artist who never backs down at the chance to turn a few heads with his boundless productions.
A few months on, and the label is now revisiting the package by letting some choice names take the featured cuts in their respective directions. Sinden truly outshines the competition, shoving his obscene low-end aptitude all the way through the titular jam. Sharp, jabbing basslines do most of the legwork here, while grit-covered textures add the kind of character we’ve come to love from the pride and joy of the bass house scene.
