Hi Something Turquoise readers, it’s Lauren from I Love Love Events . This past weekend was the unofficial start to summer and what better way to kick it off than with inspiration for a good old-fashioned BBQ, lobster boil or clam bake, this look works for all! I think this is a perfect idea for a laid-back rehearsal dinner. It lends itself to an easy buffet style menu, that’s a can’t miss crowd pleaser.

You can take this look all out Americana, but I opted for less red and added pops of yellow in the shopable table below. The lemons not only add a punch of color, but function for flavoring your lobster, salad, or whatever you decide to serve. And because I know you’re all about the DIYs, I’ve provided some great ideas, including stenciling numbers onto galvanized buckets for seating arrangements, that double as receptacles for ribs or lobster bits. The rope napkin rings add a nautical element and the simple DIY tutorial can be found on Martha Stewart . Finally, if you don’t want to invest in enamel plates for your entire party (and you haven’t been lucky enough to stumble upon a box at a yard sale), why not paint a ring around the edge of plain dinnerware to get the rustic, camping vibe. Don’t forget to cap off the night with s’mores and maybe even some sparklers!
