I’m a huge, huge Moscow Mule fan and so when my bartender friend shared this fun (and super simple) twist on my favorite cocktail I couldn’t wait to try it. Once mixed + sipped, I knew it would make a perfect Signature Cocktail Recipe… so today I’m sharing the delicious Pineapple Wedding Mule! The flavor has that same great moscow bite from the ginger beer, with just a tiny bit of refreshing citrus sweetness from the pineapple vodka. Keep in mind that the cocktail recipes I share are very simple and most of the time they are budget friendly; since we are planning on serving these cocktails to wedding guests – both points are important. I enjoy a carefully crafted artisan cocktail, however they don’t mix up easily at large events unless you have a very large bar staff. Just another little something to keep in mind while planning out your perfect wedding cocktail.
How To Pick The Perfect Signature Drink:
When deciding on a signature drink to serve at your special event there are 4 things to consider; 1. The theme 2. The location 3. Your personal favorite drink, and 4. The color scheme of your event. One of those 4 topics should give you a starting point of inspiration as to what beverage would fit your unique gathering the best. For example, if you are hosting a rustic barn event a cocktail with whiskey as the mixer might be appropriate. If you are having a destination wedding on the beach a tropical island drink would be a great fit. Or let’s say you only ever drink vodka + soda, then vodka + soda it should be. If your event is a romantic in theme with shades of whites, beiges and pinks, you might consider looking for a cocktail that is pink to match. So start with cues from your event design itself, blend with your own personal taste and strain a few of our unique recipes into the mix and see what shakes out!
You’ll Need:
- Skyy Infusions Pineapple Vodka
- Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
- Copper Pint Glasses
- Pineapple Cocktail Stirrers
- Pineapple
- Limes
The Recipe:
- 6 ounces of Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
- 2 ounces of Skyy Infusions Pineapple Vodka
- .5 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice (roughly the juice of 1/2 lime)
- Fresh pineapple to garnish
Fill each copper mug with lots of ice and add the ginger beer. Top with the shot of vodka and squeeze of lime. Add the cocktail stirrer with pineapple garnish and stir! So… so… yummy and refreshing! Your wedding bar tenders can squeeze limes ahead of time and have the juice in decanters, or you can always use the sweetened lime cocktail juice , but fresh is always better.
Garnish Your Glass:
The garnish is always the fun part! In this case, seeing these stunning copper cups immediately makes one think “mule”, so let these adorable acrylic pineapples tell your guests they are in for a treat. Skewer two freshly cut pieces of pineapple onto a drink stirrer and you’ve got the perfect, simple addition to this light and bubbly drink.
I’m obsessed with these “ tumbler ” style copper cups from Sur La Table since they aren’t the typical copper mug shape but I understand that at $20 each, buying them for your wedding bar might not be an option. However adding them to your wedding registry is an absolute must!
Since these cocktails are so popular, most rental companies are now offering copper mugs!
