Even before visiting, Stephanie and Dave wanted a true destination celebration for their Northeastern loved ones and picked Key West for their big day. Kelly of Just Save The Date created a charming and fun event and we're especially fond of the landmark portraits captured by Jonathan Connolly , too!
Stephanie started her day at the William Skelton House followed by a historic tour and first look with Dave at Fort Zach . Just prior to the ceremony, the entire wedding party gathered for group shots under the iconic Florida banyon trees at Presidential Park. For never visiting the Keys, this crew sure got the full tour of Key West, right?
Our Fave, Kelly , designed and coordinated all the details: Stephanie and Dave chose to have a romantic theme with a very neutral color palette of tan, blush and gold with pops of tangerine in some of the statement floral pieces. The flowers were very romantic and whimsical, complete with succulents, garden roses, hydrangea and tulips. Lanterns, gold chargers and custom table names with locations and mileage of where all of their guests traveled from completed the look. They even paid homage to their cats that couldn’t be with them to celebrate by displaying their photos at the reception. For their guest book, Stephanie and Dave opted to use Key West postcards and had their guests write message on them that would later be compiled into a book.
The two chose the Audubon House and Tropical Gardens for their November wedding. Most of their venue research was done online and after narrowing down their list, they booked a trip south to scout the island. Stephanie says, "I wanted to get married at a venue that had charm, romance, intimacy, beauty and was outdoors. We ulitmately decided on the Audubon House. I fell in the love with the grounds and especially the porch on the house. It made for such an amazing alter and great photos."
“My favorite part about the ceremony was that there was a nice cool breeze! I was so hot up there!”
Their evening continued with dancing under the bistro lights and after hours revelry on Duval Street. So fun! Congrats to you both!
