When I hear "Florida beach wedding", THIS is what I want to see: intimate, cozy, breezy, sun-filled, laid-back and effortlessly elegant. Sarah Lyn Photography brought all this to life in these images of Stephanie and Tim's beautiful beach wedding day in Destin.

Intimate Beach House Wedding: Stephanie & Tim in Destin

Stephanie, an R.N., and Tim, an attorney, are both architecture buffs. They met in the elevator of their building, a 1920's hotel that was renovated into apartments. After a few years of dating, they bought a 1927 home just down the street to make their own; Tim proposed on their closing day. It was a complete surprise for Stephanie: after they closed, they drove to their new home, he carried her across the threshold and got down on one knee.

Florida, the spot of their first vacation together, has a lot of meaning for these two. On that first trip to the sunshine state, as they sat on the beach one evening, Tim asked her if she'd marry him one day. (We can only assume she said yes back then, too!) With Tim's family also living nearby in Georgia, Destin was the perfect choice for the intimate, on-the-beach wedding of their dreams. Once they started researching beachfront rental homes, they found Kate's Porch and fell in love - it was beautiful, just their style, and right on the sand. Another property down the street provided the perfect spots for their family and friends to stay, giving them the intimate feel they were looking for.

While Stephanie got ready, and celebrated the moments with her bridal party, Tim jammed on the guitar with his father. (Love.)

Can we talk about those flowers? Gorgeous. Tim was looking pretty smashing, too!

The ceremony took place on the beach right in front of the property. Stephanie constructed their ceremony arch on the morning of the wedding day, and their floral designer filled it with romantic, beachy blooms.

From getting ready through to the end of the night, they kept all the festivities - and their 50 guests - in one spot... easy, laid-back, and worry free.

I just adore the cozy-yet-open feel of their reception - such a perfectly clear and gorgeous night on the beach. Congrats, you two!

When you keep it simple and focused - in life, love and weddings - beautiful things can happen. From the choice of the church to the end-of-night lantern release, Raquel and Jason agreed on all the qualities they wanted for their day: traditional, elegant, simple, classy, and filled with the love of family and friends. Our Fave Jessica Bordner Photography captured all the moments of this classically romantic day at Eastpointe Country Club .

Romantic Country Club Wedding: Jason & Raquel in Palm Beach Gardens

Raquel and Jason met in 2011 at The Dirty Martini in Palm Beach Gardens. They were obviously an instant hit; says Raquel, "We knew early on there would be no one else for us, and the rest was history." Jason was preparing for the Florida Bar exam (he's now an Assistant State Attorney), and Raquel was beginning her Master's program in preparation for her career as a pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist.

The ease of their relationship continued right into their engagement: "Surprisingly (or not surprisingly) we agreed on everything throughout our wedding planning process. It was the best time of our lives. We both wanted a traditional wedding, with a touch of glamour. We chose to have a black and white wedding, with accents of green shining through in the form of succulents."

Before walking down the aisle, they shared a "faux first look", taking that moment to read letters they wrote for each other.

They wed at Jason's childhood church, St. Patrick Catholic, with its stunning stained glass windows, wooden archways, and traditional organ. One of their favorite moments was the beginning of the ceremony, which was particularly meaningful to Raquel: she walked by herself down the aisle, to honor her father who has passed. "It absolutely took my breath away when Jason unveiled me at the end of the aisle in front of our parents, family and closest friends."

“Everything is so easy when we are together; I think that's the secret to our lasting love and why we have so much fun together.”

A classic reception followed at Eastpointe Country Club , which Raquel called "an amazing experience. Beautiful views, amazing chef, and wonderful people catering to us throughout the process."

Another treasured moment came at the conclusion of their day: "At the end of the night we lit and set off over twenty wish lanterns in the hopes of a future full of health and prosperity."

These two travel lovers will be honeymooning in Whistler, British Columbia in March - sounds like it will be an amazing time. Congratulations, guys!

Today's bride described their wedding day as, "witty, eclectic and uniquely ours". Our Fave, Aislinn Kate captured the historic architecture, vintage charm and classic color patterns that all fit right in with our love for downtown Pensacola weddings.

Downtown Pensacola Wedding: Whitney & Tyson at Palafox House

From the bride: Tyson and I both have a love for architecture and old buildings, so I knew I wanted to find beautiful spaces that would stand out in their own. Our ceremony was held in a historic church, Old Christ Church, located in Downtown Pensacola. The church is cute and quaint and perfect as is, so it didn't require any decor.

I love my husbands caring attitude and intense work ethic. He has an extraordinary passion for everything he does, even something as simple as yard work. I honestly don't know how anyone can find excitement in that.

“Of the many things I love about my new wife, a few things stand out immediately: a passion for life and happiness together, desire to raise a family, and
a wonderful personality. I know our future will be amazing and I look forward to spending every day that I can with her.”

After portraits, the entire wedding party celebrated at the local brewery. Obviously, one of the perks of choosing an urban location for your wedding, right!?

Whitney's favorite moment from the whole day was a complete sweet surprise from her groom. She shares, "I loved the time Tyson and I were able to spend together taking pictures after our ceremony. I remember him disappearing for 5 minutes during some photos and returning to surprise me with gelato that he has picked up from a nearby shop. We ended taking picture while stuffing our faces with gelato."

Our reception space, Palafox House , was definitely my favorite venue. I loved the exposed brick walls, wood ceiling and concrete floors. The building has so much character and flowed perfectly into what I had envisioned for our wedding day.

And a sparkler send off under the string lights seems like the perfect way to end this special day. Cheers to you both!
