I have to admit that I would totally go to Paris for my vow renewal as love the idea of feeling like a movie star on your wedding day in Paris, which is exactly what today’s couple Sheena and Aaron did, all captured by French Grey Photography.
There is also another admission that I have to make, I have in the past forgotten my wedding anniversary. I know that it was coming, but when it came to the day and buying a card and present etc, I had an epic wife fail and completely forgot! But then Mr Trulove managed to forget a card when we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in Paris, so it evened out!
However, I love the idea of getting married on a day that you can never forget, the last day of the year! Sheena and Aaron travelled from the USA to get married in Paris and contacted Kasia from French Grey Events about a month before the wedding day for some assistance.
Sheena and Aaron wanted a chic but intimate elopement wedding where they could just enjoy the splendours of the city, and each others company in style. So what can be more stylish and chic then an all white seasonal bouquet, a vintage Rolls Royce and a fur shrug?
Brian from French Grey photography was there working his photography magic to capture every “smiling” moment. It just doesn’t get any better, and more magical, then that!
Beautiful bride Shannon takes us through the planning an big day: “Paris was really a dream of mine that Aaron made happen. The most romantic place in the world in my mind. It definitely lived up to its expectations and more! The detail on the buildings, the charming environment and the relaxation that came with our time there. Aaron and I met 7 months prior to our elopement in Paris. The cliché of “when you know you know” fit us perfectly. My son who is 2 years old now absolutely adores him as does Aaron.
We were racking our brains trying to figure out how we could keep our dream of a small intimate wedding with both families being large and his side out of town not to mention the loads of friends we couldn’t exclude!
After a wedding planning/honeymoon planning lunch just days after engagement (engagement was 11/22/14) we were set on honeymooning in Paris and Aaron cleared our concerns by asking why we wouldn’t we want to just elope in Paris? It was as if the light bulbs went off above our heads. In just 24 hours French Grey Events had our wedding planned and secured. The ease of this was almost a dream. We couldn’t believe it! Just 48 hours of wedding planning and it was done!?
My #1 requirement was photography and destination of the ceremony. Aaron’s was responsiveness and the Rolls Royce! Kasia and Brian with French Grey Events / French Grey photography not only fulfilled our expectations they exceeded them.
Our day was absolutely perfect! When our wedding day arrived I had a fantastic time with hair and makeup. They were fun and did an amazing job! The Rolls Royce picked us up at our hotel, Hotel de Londres Eiffel.
We had no idea where our wedding spot would be and though you might have been anxious and worried the entire city was absolutely breathtaking so there was little worry. The bridge we got married by couldn’t have been more perfect. The detail along with the Eiffel tower view was spot on.
We truly felt like movie stars driving around with tourists taking pictures (of our car, but nonetheless it was an experience).
We absolutely had such an amazing time traveling through the city taking pictures. The driver was full of history and a positive sense of humor. Our photographer Brian kept saying just do what we are doing as you could see through our pictures the fun we were having! How couldn’t we???
The most romantic place in the world, our charming Parisian driver and the most stunning pictures I have ever seen! We were in shock with how well the day went and how pleased we were with the entire experience. That night we had dinner at Au Bon Accueil and again were just blown away with the service and dining (Not to mention running into my new husbands cousin! He and his wife were celebrating their 1 year anniversary in Paris!). We changed out of our wedding attire and went to the base of the Eiffel Tower to ring in the New Year as Mr & Mrs Aaron Kesler!
A lot of wedding days are full of chaos, the dramatic issue(s) with planning and more of a production than the special moment of exchanging heartfelt meaningful vows between you and the person you will spend the rest of your life with. Our wedding was so romantic and special. The day went by without a hitch. I cannot wait to return!
Though we thought our families would be sad to not attend they are ecstatic to show our wedding photos throughout their home as it is more like a piece of art. We enjoyed gathering when we returned to share stories of our fairy tale Parisian wedding.
Our Parisian Wedding was more than we could have ever asked for! Our experience with Paris was that everyone was very service oriented and went over and beyond with assisting us with our needs. ”
