“My favorite memory was seeing my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle! His expression was absolutely radiant… he looked at me so eagerly and so lovingly… I wish I could relive that moment all the time.
..We DIY-ed the cake stand and the cupcake stand. We were so blessed to have friends that were not only very willing to help but were also handy with a saw. Both turned out beautifully, and we enjoyed them more knowing how much work went into them…
..I carried my something old, new, borrowed, and blue. I had asked my mom to provide my something old, and she brought a beautiful gold and pearl flower bracelet that had belonged to my grandmother. My sister provided my something borrowed and lent me a gorgeous vintage clutch for the evening. My something new was my garter, a rustic mustard yellow and turquoise lace one I had purchased from Etsy, and my something blue was my cute pair of bridal undies from Victorias Secret that a friend had given me :)
..My advice for brides is to not overthink things. So much goes into every detail, picking out every decoration, every little piece of your garment, etc. I realized after the wedding that I hadn’t even noticed many of those details. Yes, it turned out beautifully, and I’m glad our guests enjoyed everything, but in the end, the small things are not very important. Spending the evening with your new hubby, friends and family who travelled from all over the country to be there is all that matters… so relax and have fun!” – Debra, the bride
