Aside from his forward-facing productions, Fono has garnered major recognition for his recent cinematic music videos. The UK artist has taken matters into his own hands for the next one, though, as he sits in the director’s chair to control the visual for his Durante collab, “NRG.” It takes place in Manchester, where he’s currently settling into his new digs. He phoned up a few of his skateboarder homies for the affair, filming them kicking and pushing and pulling off some dope tricks at some super-sick spots around town; it fits perfectly with the skittering synthwork and urban-dripped vocals of the tune. The location scouting must have been a real mission, because the video contains more than a few stunning backdrops. Hats off to Fono for a job very well done.
