When Columbia Sportswear launched their Omni-Freeze ZERO technology last summer, one of the first things many women asked was "when will you have this fabric in a sports bra?" Well, the wait is finally over ladies, as both Mountain Hardwear and Moving Comfort have heard your pleas and created cooling sports bras along with other next to skin apparel for Spring 2014.
Cooling sports bras and even underwear make complete sense, as they are an extra piece of fabric between you and your shirt or shorts. The new Mighty Power Cooler SportBra ($45) from Mountain Hardwear uses Cool.Q ZERO technology on strategically placed front and back panels. Perfect for hiking, running, climbing, cycling, or even gym workouts, this medium support sports bra will help keep you from overheating in one of the spots where you tend to sweat the most.
For Spring 2014, Mountain Hardwear updated the Mighty Power Cooler Tank ($58), a sleek, high performance sport top, with cooling technology. Comfortable, quick-drying, and supportive, the company added Cool.Q ZERO to the inside bra and down the back panel to help keep you cool during your workout.
Not to leave the guys out of the fun, Mountain Hardwear takes it one step further and adds a Cool.Q ZERO brief liner in the men's and women's CoolRunner Short ($65) and CoolRunner 2in1 Short ($70). Lightweight and quick drying, these running shorts add another level of cooling to help keep you going in the heat.
The JustRight Racer ($48) from Moving Comfort uses a DriLayer Cool interior to create a cooling effect as you sweat. DriLayer Cool fabric is made from Advansa ThermoCool yarn that evaporates moisture faster than other materials thanks to its unique fibre mix. The fibres are designed to provide added evaporative surface, quick moisture transport, and enhanced air circulation.
So what do you think ladies-better than stuffing ice packs down your shirt?
