Happy 4th of July everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that Wahoo Fitness finally updated the RPM Cadence Sensor with dual-band capability, enabling you to now pair the sensor with both Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+ devices. For those of us that are happy with the speed data delivered by our phone or GPS watch, a simple no-fuss cadence sensor is a great addition for full ride data tracking.
The 7-gram wireless cadence sensor eliminates magnets and connects wirelessly to a range of smartphones (iOS and Android OS 4.3 or greater) as well as GPS devices. The RPM collects and displays cadence data through the free Wahoo Fitness App or other cycling apps including Strava, MapMyRide, and Cyclemeter.
The sensor runs on a coin cell battery (lasts for up to 2 years), so does not require charging. Its universal fit allows the RPM to work with any bike. Two LED lights signal when the sensor is properly connected to your phone (blue) and cadence is detected (red).
The Wahoo RPM dual-band cadence sensor retails for $49.99 and is available now.
