It happened. While dance culture is currently blowing up in a big way in the Asia Pacific region, what you might not have realized is that back in the ‘90s, raves went down on the monolithic Great Wall of China—one of the few manmade objects that can be seen from space. It’s surely one of the most stunning locations imaginable for a party.
The rave happened, there is footage to prove it, and it’s part of a documentary called Minimal China, which looks at the country’s rave scene. Brought to our attention by Electronic Beats , the documentary examines the scenes in and between the cities of Beijing, Peking and Chengdu, documenting some of the different events that went down.
