Kitsbow Adds Road Cycling Apparel Line

Mountain bike apparel company Kitsbow announced the addition of a new road line, available now. The complete collection includes a jersey, bib short, windbreaker, arm and knee warmers, all with the same minimalist aesthetic and well thought out design details of the brand’s popular mountain bike apparel. Best of all? The pieces are named after some of my favorite road rides in Sonoma County.

“Mountain biking was our starting point, our core and our passion at Kitsbow,” said co-founder and designer Charlie Cronk. “Most of us ride, whether it’s mountain, urban commuting, or road, so each addition to the line has been a natural progression. Now we’re excited to expand into road apparel, remaining true to Kitsbow’s design philosophy: dedication to beautiful, technical fabrics with functional details, made to be worn hard and built to last. The new pieces are in the spirit of what we like about being on the bike – adventure, fun, going out and getting lost or finding a new path and exploring where it goes.”

The Geyser’s Jersey ($169) is made from a blend of merino and synthetic fibers to deliver a combination of breathability, moisture management, and anti-microbial properties. The race cut features a waist that is higher in front for better fit in the riding position, with grippers to keep it from creeping up in the back. Other key features include three traditional back pockets with one zip-secured water-resistant stowage pocket, extra vent mesh panel inserts to further increase breathability and evaporation of moisture, and subtle reflective hits for safety. The jersey is available in three colors: flash, ti-grey, and denim.

The King Ridge Windbreaker ($179) is a lightweight, packable, wind- and water-resistant shell. Soft knit at the top of the collar is gentle on your neck and face when fully zipped, and an athletic fit means no extra fabric flapping in the wind.

Made from Polartec Power Stretch, the next-to-skin layer of the Coleman Valley Bib Short ($179) stays dry, breathable, and comfortable by continuously transferring moisture vapor for rapid evaporation, while the outer surface has a low-friction finish that increases abrasion resistance. Straps on the bib shorts are made from a knit mesh elastic for lightness and breathability and hidden leg pockets are a better place to ditch your wrappers.

All road cycling pieces are available to order from the Kitsbow website or at your LBS.
