We were married in Mexico in 2005. Almost ten years later, it’s amazing to reflect on our journey: the birth of our two sons, the purchase of our first home, and beautiful travel adventures. We’ve supported each other through career changes, the loss of family members and friends, and countless other challenging times. Scott donated a kidney to his mom almost two years ago, which was a journey in and of itself. It was an emotional time, but Scott was amazing and the transplant was a success! Not everyone gets the opportunity to prove unconditional love in that manner.
As we headed toward our tenth wedding anniversary, we decided to renew our vows. We can’t predict the next ten years any more than we could predict the last ten, but we remain committed and in love. There’s no better place than Vegas to tell your spouse that you’re still “all in.”
We chose a wraparound terrace suite at the Cosmopolitan because we loved that we could have a private ceremony along with amazing views of the strip. While the vows we made on our wedding day still hold true and will never expire, it was very special to take this time to reflect on our promises and reaffirm our commitment to each other with the wisdom and experience that marriage have given us. It was a perfectly romantic night.
Favorite Thing About The Wedding
Sharing vows that we wrote for each other and blessing our wedding rings. It felt so personal and heartfelt.
