FISHING -- Although there's still not enough water to open the BLM launch for larger boats, the level of Coffeepot Lake has risen significantly since the trout fishing season opened on March 1.
Anglers on the water in Lincoln County today, March 19, were having no trouble hauling small boats to the water at the launch and negotiating the length of the lake
And the fishing was good.
One angler said he caught and released six fish by noon before the wind picked up and drove him off the water. Five were very large, he said.
