The furniture company TETRAN™ has designed a line of furniture, that makes its owners the custom furniture designers of their unique living space. The line consists of a variety of standardized modules, blocks and cushions that can be fitted together to create just about any item of furniture. The modules can even be repurposed for new functions or redesigned for alternate living spaces.
The designer Ruke Keragala got the idea for the modular furniture after a frustrating hunt for furniture for his first tiny college studio apartment. He set out to design a new kind of furniture incorporating the modular principles of LEGOs, and the transformative nature of Transformers.
The design is expected to be available in first quarter of 2013.
