Welcome to the Carnival of Cities blog carnival, where we tour the world in a single post, via submissions from a variety of different blogs, all about any aspect of one, single city or fair-sized town.

We normally publish every other week; if you would like to host a future Carnival edition on your blog, please contact me as the Carnival organizer:  Sheila “at” sheilascarborough “dot” com. Today’s carnival is small, but mighty!

Here’s more info and background about the Carnival of Cities blog carnival , and now….

Off we go!

Cities in the Americas

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Zhushares a snowy world in Starting 2013 Snowed Under posted at Correr Es Mi Destino , saying, “The day after the storm was very cold (- 11°C) but gorgeous, with a clear and crisp blue sky. I walked around the neighbourhood with my camera (and brand new iPod Nano—thank you Santa Claus!) and froze my fingers off to capture the aftermath of the snow storm.”

Syracuse, New York, USA Traci Suppa gets high in Canyon Climb: World’s Largest Suspended Indoor Ropes Challenge Course, Syracuse, posted at Go BIG or Go Home , saying, “If you’re into daredevil thrills and adrenaline rushes, you’ll want to try the world’s largest indoor ropes course! It’s suspended from the cavernous mall ceiling, leaving you walking across ropes and narrow beams with nothing between you and the ground, 70 feet below your feet.”

Phoenix, Arizona, USA Nina Simmons covers the Cactus League, food, spring temperatures and more in Top 10 Reasons to Visit Phoenix This Spring posted at The Hot Sheet , saying, “Spring might be the best time to visit Phoenix. Here are our top 10 reasons why.”

Cities in Europe

Paris, France Andy Hayes says “le nom!” in Foodie’s Guide to Paris posted at Plum Deluxe , saying, “Food is one of several of Parisian cultural treasures.”

Budapest, Hungary Heather Cowper enjoys both Buda and Pest in From Cold War Canteen to Literary Salon – Five great places to eat out in Budapest posted at Heather on her travels , saying, “Heather writes about some of the restaurants and cafes that she enjoyed on a recent weekend break in Budapest”
