Sarah Sitar is a well known real estate agent in Orange County, CA, and has always been an interior design enthusiast at heart. She and her husband recently decided to bring their dream of traveling the world to life. They set out searching for the perfect mini trailer, after determining that vintage was cool but less self sufficient for off road camping they happily decided on their Micro Minnie Winnebago
Today, Sarah invites us to have a special sneak peek at the process of converting their little trailer into a comfortable and stylish home on wheels. Let’s have a look!
Micro Minnie Exterior
When Sarah and her husband sought out to find their miniature trailer, they were looking for something reliable with some of the luxuries of home and great potential, so it’s no surprise when they saw this beauty, they were ready to take it home!Micro Minnie Interior – Before the Transformation
But when they opened the doors, they quickly found that the interior decor did not match up with their taste. But of course, it was nothing that couldn’t easily be altered. In fact, it was a great starting point.
“We wanted to start out with something that had great bones, but didn’t necessarily need to be in mint condition. I’ve had a lot of experience transforming seemingly hopeless spaces into beautiful pieces of art – and this trailer was no exception. I didn’t see anything dismal, I saw great potential and couldn’t wait to partner with my hubby to turn it into something we would love for years to come!”
Before and After
Sarah and her husband wanted to incorporate a modern, geometric design for the seats, yet keep it very comfortable. They decided on a deep, burnt orange color with pops of cream and blue to tie it all together. The outcome is absolutely adorable! The outdated valance above the windows were a little “too 70’s” in design so they picked a pretty bittersweet pattern, and by squaring them off, created a more modern feel. As you can see, the geometric design is carried throughout the tiny trailer, and the nature-inspired pillows add a great touch.
