Jillian Tree Photography toured all the nooks of campus with this "UM couple" and even found a perfect spot for beachy portraits at a nearby park in Miami. Their love for their team and each other is obvious, plus their flirty fun in front of the camera rocks.
Cari was completely surprised when Ray decided to propose. They had recently purchased a house and had been focused on building their home together. He planned a double date with their close friends, spoke about how excited he was for their new journey (the house), and how much he loved her.
Cari continues, "Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee, asking me to marry him! I was so shocked that I couldn't speak, and he had to ask again! I then of course said, 'yes' and bursted into tears of joy. It was something that I honestly didn't think was going to happen for a while, so I was absolutely surprised! It was one of he happiest moments of my life!"
The two are major Hurricane football fans and hold season tickets. It was pretty much necessary to visit campus, wearing custom orange and green engagement shirts, and pose for a few shots. Such a good plan for save the date cards.
From Cari:Ray is caring, fun and hard-working. He makes me laugh. He's very driven; he'll never give up when he sets a goal for himself. He believes in living life to the fullest. There's never a dull moment with him. He takes care of me when I'm sick. He cooks for me.
“And although not many people often see it, he's very affectionate and reminds me of how much he loves me every single day, whether it's with a grand gesture or something minor.”
And from Ray about Cari: She's beautiful, charismatic and loyal. She has a great heart. She's one of the kindest and most generous people I've ever met. No matter what life's thrown at us, she's always been there for me and has never given up on me. She makes me want to be a better person. She's witty and spunky, which makes me laugh. She's very driven and always gives her all with everything she does. And she's (for the most part) pretty easy-going.
They're both anxiously awaiting their wedding day when they can share their love with all their family and friends. Cari is excited to dance the night away and Ray, well, he's ready for the planning part to be over. We get that! Cheers, guys!
