Today's engagement session is quite special! Not only are Briana and Bryan clients of mine and Todd Good , but they also chose Social House as the location for these portraits. We're obsessed, to say the least.
From Briana: We chose Todd Good as our wedding photographer because we love his style of taking candid, real photographs that look natural. Downtown Lake Worth was a perfect place to do our engagement shoot because it also has this artsy eclectic energy that captures our style. The Social House provided gorgeous scenery both indoors and outdoors for our shoot. Some of my favorite pictures are of us enjoying a glass of wine, laughing and just being ourselves.
Bryan proposed to me at Uptown Art, which is where we had our first date five years ago; painting wine bottles. He and my best friend created an elaborate story about a free couple's "date night" painting class that she had "won in a raffle" so that I wouldn't suspect anything. Then she and her boyfriend ending up having "car trouble" and couldn't make it to the painting studio, so it ended up just being me and Bryan in the class.
Together with our own private painting instructor and bottle of wine we painted a beautiful picture of a tree together. After the class we walked around the studio to look at the other art as ours dried. When we returned to look at our work, I noticed that the words "Marry me?" were now painted on the tree and that Bryan was down on one knee with a ring! His proposal was so clever and thoughtful. Very unique and incredibly special. Our first date paintings of wine bottles hang on our living room wall next to our engagement tree and I smile every time I look at them.
“I just love him. He makes me happy, he makes me laugh. He's one of a kind, and I'm very excited to be marrying him.”
When they're not busy working or painting and fixing up their newly purchased home, Briana and Bryan really enjoy spending time at the beach. She reads and soaks in the sun while he surfs the shoreline. These beach portraits are the perfect ending to this sweet session and truly capture the love between these two.
They're excited to plan and host their January wedding in downtown West Palm Beach near the site where they first met. We've decided to include great wine on the menu and keep the overall vibe organic, yet elegant. Congratulations to you both. We cannot wait to see and share how this one turns out!
