We're admittedly a little biased, but we're 100% on board with the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place as a destination wedding locale. Lauren and Jordan treated their family and loved ones to an elegant, laid-back wedding day at the gorgeous new property, with the water, shops, restaurants and nightlife just steps away. Captured Photography documented the festivities, and two more Faves - Earth and Sugar and Bacio Bacio Bridal Boutique - added to the lovely.
Lauren and Jordan approached their wedding planning with a true destination spirit, seeking a venue their guests would love. Says the bride, "We had visited quite a few locations, and none felt 'just right' as they say. We went to the Wyndham out of a suggestion from one of our friends, and even in the midst of all the construction, we could see their vision through their design." They also provided a Floridian welcome to their friends and loved ones, with baskets filled with Sunshine State essentials: a beach towel, beach bag, sunscreen, key lime cookies and water.
Lauren's first look with her father was one of her favorite moments of the day: "It was a moment you can't explain until it happens. He's always called me his 'baby girl', so it felt very surreal being grown up! My dad is THE best!"
Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Bacio Bacio Bridal Boutique - it's the perfect blend of simplicity and elegance.
To honor the sacred promise they were making, the two desired a ceremony with a very traditional feel, and were very moved by the words spoken by their pastor at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Says Lauren, "I remember looking at Jordan during that time and feeling so happy and trying to remember those feelings of 'oh my gosh, this is happening! We are actually standing here getting married.' I will never forget his face during the whole ceremony, either. He had this very genuine look on his face, as if he was drinking up every word the pastor was saying, almost as if to not forget the commitment he was making. It was a face he's never made and has yet to make. It was very memorable."
The reception tables were decorated with white hydrangea, white roses, and seeded eucalyptus (Lauren's favorite). The flowers continued onto the dessert table of Earth and Sugar 's delish treats, featuring a trio of buttercream cakes with banana caramel and strawberry panna cotta shooters. The display was another desire by the couple to cater to their guests, as Lauren tells us: "We felt that not everyone enjoys cake, so we decided to have a mix of cookies, cake pops, and shooters in a variety of flavors. We used Earth and Sugar. Loved her!!!"
“ I would say the most memorable feeling of the day was this insurmountable amount of love shared by everyone at the event. I don't think anyone sat down or could take a smile off their face. It was a great feeling to feel so much support from everyone. We have GREAT friends and family.”
Congratulations, you two!
