When your bestie is a photographer - and one as talented as Lauren Louise Photography - this kind of intimate, cozy magic can happen. And when you are all coming up in the industry together, and have spent oodles of time bonding over weddings, photoshoots, and vintage rental hunting? Even better. Jenny and Glen are tying the knot next May, and just moved into their first real home together in our own Lake Worth; Lauren documented just what a morning at home and in love looks like.
The couple met through a shared sociology class at FAU; when Jenny saw him, she had "instant butterflies." They ended up talking thanks to a mutual friend, and the rest is history.
“Lauren is one of our best friends and it just made sense to have her come over and capture us in the morning in an intimate setting we all felt comfortable and happy being in.”
Glen proposed on that biggest of all celebratory days: New Years Eve. From Jenny: "I had told him I never had a really great New Year's Eve and he ended up telling me about a week later that this year he would make sure it was different. My family was all in town for the holidays and in the span of a week he asked my whole family if he could propose, bought a ring, and made his plan."
Glen was talked out of his original plan - to propose at midnight with all of our friends there - by Jenny's brother, and instead kept it intimate with a lunch at her favorite spot (Brûlée in Delray Beach) and, afterwards, a walk down Atlantic Avenue to a bench by the Intracoastal. He popped the question under two huge sea grapes. Says Jenny, "I was in shock and had the weirdest nervous laughter that didn't stop all day."
The two are planning a small wedding in New Hampshire for next May, with 50 guests in a historic home. Says Jenny, "I can't wait to have all of our favorite people in one place!" Totally the best feeling for sure - congrats, you two!
