After "instantly meshing" with their photographers, Caroline & Evan Photography , these two put their engagement session choices entirely into the experts' hands. Their only request: it had to involve their home base, downtown St. Pete. Caroline and Evan delivered, with a romp around some of the area's most lovely, unique spots - the artsy downtown wall murals, the flowery park, and beautiful waterfront.
Kristen and Dave initially met three years ago, on a mutual friend's Facebook post comment thread. Their friend, Jesse, urged Kristen to go out with Dave, but they joked that it would only happen if he "showed up at her house dressed as a polar bear, and took her to a Rays game." Well, Dave took the challenge, flew down from North Carolina, and showed up at her door to take her to a Tampa Bay Rays game.... dressed in a polar bear costume. It was, as Kristen says, "a crazy, unforgettable night."
The day after they met, Dave flew to a job interview in San Diego... and he got the job. Years of long distance relationshipping followed, as Dave went from Cali to Huntsville, Alabama, where the two will live together now that they've tied the knot. Kristen has lived in St. Pete for almost eight and a half years, and they both consider it to be "home" in spite of all the travelling they've had to do to stay together. Dave popped the question last May, with a little picnic under the banyan tree in downtown's North Straub Park. She said yes, of course!
“We loved our engagement session, and our photographers. Caroline & Evan are an amazing team to work with, I am so thankful to have found them to document our story.”
The couple wed last week at the Postcard Inn, and are now basking in the honeymoon sun in Maui. As Kristen tells us, "Everything about the wedding was perfect (though I caught the flu last week and lost my voice... I had to whisper my vows!). In the end, I wouldn't change a bit."
