There's something almost poetic about styling a rustic, bohemian-esque session on the beach for two former Survivor contestants, don't you think? Hollie of Elleson Events , Nikki Mayday Photography and a host of creative talents in Southwest Florida teamed up for this blue and gold beauty for Jamie and Erik's five year anniversary. They chose Bowditch Park on Fort Myers Beach as the perfect setting... and stayed to capture the glorious sunset, of course!
With the aim of showcasing a stylish soiree on the beach without the typical beachy clichés, Hollie chose a blue and gold base palette and based the concept off of two main elements: a driftwood arbor and the ocean.
They also wanted to bring a moodier element to their shoot, and Bowditch Park provided the perfect opportunity with its dark wooded coves.
The paper suite by DM Paper Designs carried the theme, with a watercolor palette and modern/rustic mix. Sweet Southern Charm supplied lovely vintage pieces, including the vintage sideboard for the escort card display.
Hollie asked for florals that were "a little more undone", and Isn't She Lovely Florals delivered, with arrangements featuring Juliette garden roses, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, and honeysuckle vine. I can't get over the stunner hanging from the driftwood arbor! Amaze. And the reception table came alive with custom Mr. & Mrs. chair banners, mismatched vintage glassware, little gold clocks and succulents.
