From the groom…
“We knew each other in high school but went into the world and did our own thing. Nine years later we began dating after a friend request on Facebook. After only dating nine months, I asked Erin to marry me when she returned from a business trip. She spoiled all my surprises. So she had to settle for a quiet back porch proposal. We picked the Wheeler House as our venue because it fit our style and taste. As a tribute to our grandparents who could not join us we did a tribute to them in a glass window with scriptures and photos of them on their wedding day. Erin also carried an inscribed charm on her bouquet in memory of her maternal grandparents. When we first met, Erin had a ton of paintings of birds in her apartment. Naturally, “Birdie” became Erin’s pet name and we are incorporating a bird theme throughout the wedding (the ring bearer’s sign, bird cage centerpieces, birds nests/cages as aisle decor. I even got a tattoo of a bird on my forearm!”
