Last night, Carl Cox played his last-ever set at White Isle icon Space Ibiza , where he wrapped it up for his Music Is Revolution closing party. Taking it back to his roots for the evening, Carl put the laptop aside and lugged his record box out of storage, playing a full eight-hour-plus extended set, completely on vinyl. The occasion was broadcast throughout the world via Facebook and BE-AT.TV , and the entire set is already online and ready for listening.
“I wanted to take things back and pay homage to all those years at Space spinning records,” Cox told Resident Advisor prior to the grand finale.
“I want to show respect to those older tunes, dig out some of my old vinyl, and play them alongside new tunes… I thought it was a fitting way to say goodbye. This music has been my life, and I want to share it one last time at Space.”
