Armin van Buuren tapped into something significant earlier this year when he dramatically lugged his vintage record box onto the stage to play an all-vinyl set during his Armin Only party. Stirring a love for the eternal trance classics that defined his early career in the ‘90s, he’s been inspired to tap into it even further with his new Old Skool mini-album project.
The concept sees Armin reworking the iconic classics that were influential when he was on his ascent as a DJ/producer, including eternal dancefloor staples like “The Ultimate Seduction” and Speedy J “The Pull Over.” He confirms they’ve been an integral part of his Armin Only tour this year.
Armin van Buuren’s Old Skool arrives on Armada Music on August 4, and we’ve been given an early taste with his rework of Human Resource’s “Dominator,” which you can listen to below.
