Nature Diaries: The Indescribable Moments

“Life is too deep for words, so don’t try to describe it, just live it.” – C.S. Lewis
Nature Diaries: The Indescribable Moments

Staring at these mountains during a hike in the North Cascades, the only word I could find to describe the moment was “expansive”. Everything felt more more monumental and infinite. My love for my husband, the possibilities of our future and the gift of the present moment. Nothing felt off limits and no ideas were too crazy or far fetched. It was (many) big breaths of fresh air that reminded me of the many reasons I love being outdoors and in the peace of nature. Mainly, it’s to experience those ineffable moments expressed by C.S. Lewis. I want to lay my eyes on scenery that is so opulent it leaves me silent. I want to be overwhelmed with emotions so strong that words fall short. And I want to feel powerful gratitude that intensifies with every step and inhale that helps energize me up to the summit.
