Motivation Monday: Project Gratitude [Round 4]

Thank you to everyone who sent in their messages of gratitude! It has been a huge joy to go through the diverse lists and hear from friends around the globe.  Keep tapping into that abundant well of gratitude.  Or take a cue from my friend Rosalyn and keep adding to your ‘gratitude soup.’ Happy Monday!

Motivation Monday: Project Gratitude [Round 4] I currently live in a small town (we’re talking no stoplights here folks) in rural Wyoming, and some days I find myself yearning for the conveniences of a larger city. I miss going to a yoga studio to practice with a community, or camping out at a good coffee shop to do some reading and writing. I miss sushi and going to the movie theater, and the ocean! I have never lived without it before now.  It is in these moments I take pause and make a list of all I am thankful for, for all that I DO have right here, right now in my life. I started calling these lists ‘Gratitude Soup’ on my blog a couple of years ago. When you’re feeling a little down, just keep adding good things to the pot, and I promise it will quickly have your heart feeling warm and full.   What does Rosalyn have cooking in her gratitude soup? I am grateful for MY FRIENDS!  Some I’ve known for over a decade, while others just barely a year, but

Motivation Monday: Project Gratitude [Round 4] regardless, my network of friends is one of my most cherished support systems. Living in NYC can be tough; you’re away from your family, competing with millions of driven and talented people for your dream job, nature is difficult to come by, and the pace of city life can be exhausting.  Whenever I get down, I make sure to do two things: practice yoga & connect with my friends.  Whether it’s through a text message, coffee meet up, or a Skype date, my friends always remind me of how important it is to connect with one another, and share our experiences…with laughter, smiles, tears, challenge...I’m grateful for it all. – Jess Roach
