When you're into college football (especially SEC fans), choosing a Fall wedding can often prove problematic. You see, Saturdays down South are sacred and reserved for tailgating and cheering on your team. Chris and Lyndsey chose to go for it anyway and hosted a celebration that went from a whimsical beach wedding to the best game-viewing experience of their lives. Lyndsey's family has a condo in Destin and since she was a little girl, she's dreamed of a Florida wedding. They'd visit Seaside, driving down the coast on Highway 30A, and she can recall when the resort at Alys Beach began development. As she puts it, "I knew the venue before I knew the groom. Chalk it up to my Southern ways."
Chris has so many wonderful qualities, it's hard to pick one favorite. His boyish charm and good humor first drew my attention. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he is handsome, incredibly smart, and completely genuine. My favorite thing is probably how he loves me so well. He gives me the security that a spouse and friend need. He makes me feel safe. He sees me as his equal. He moves with me and my mood; checks and balances. Chris really makes me feel so important and that's my favorite thing about him.
Their ceremony was set under a driftwood arbor on the lawn overlooking the beach. Lyndsey's bridal party wore shades of aqua and carried blush-tone flowers which complimented the oceanside soiree very well. After portraits by the waves, everyone was enchanted by a beautiful tented reception including preppy cabana striped draping, coral accents, and of course, touches of Southern inspired lace.

The colors, the flowers, the accents of coral and lace, the food and its display. Our vendors were incredible! They thought of everything. However, the most unique and hands down favorite detail was the Ole Miss paraphernalia.
At 6 o'clock, our venue was a serene garden of seafoam and coral and by 8 o'clock we morphed our venue into our favorite place on earth: The Grove from Oxford, Mississippi. We had a dual TV display behind our bar airing the Ole Miss vs. Alabama game, stadium cups, and gameday stickers with "the Carlton's love the Rebs" on them. That paired with a Rebel win over Alabama was the cherry on our special day.
