The North Face Launches Mountain Bike Apparel Line

At the past Outdoor Retailer, there were rumblings of a new bike apparel line from The North Face. Well it looks as though all of you across the pond will be the benefactors as the company's new mountain bike apparel line is aimed specifically at the European market.

Available starting February, The North Face mountain bike apparel line is full of bright colors, as you would expect for the European market, and includes everything from waterproof jackets to shorts and even bibs. The foundation of the line is cycling specific waterproof breathable jackets with high collars and rear drop tails.

The Xenon jacket is made from GORE-TEX Paclite Shell fabric and weighs just 380 grams. Features include lock down zips, a Napoleon chest pocket and Velcro cuffs. The Muddy Tracks jacket is similar to the Xenon but made from The North Face's HyVent waterproof breathable fabric.

The Dirt Track soft shell jacket and pants are made from a combination of Gore's WINDSTOPPER fabric and The North Face Apex water repellent fabric. When you start to heat up on the trail, the jacket arms zip off and stow in a rear pocket.

A full range of bottoms include looser fitting ripstop nylon shorts with removable liners, classic style bib shorts, and capris for women. Accessories such as T-Shirts and gloves round out the new collection.
