PlayStation gaming classic Rez is considered one of the truly memorable dancefloor-gaming crossovers, with its appeal sincerely drawn from the boundary-pushing potential of electronic music. For those who’ve yet to be immersed in its world, there’s a remastered VR edition on the horizon.
Released on the original PlayStation back in 2001, Rez is a cult classic and one of the truly memorable entries in the “rhythm game” genre, featuring some particularly psychedelic, stylized graphics and a cutting-edge electronic soundtrack that synced perfectly with the action.
The Rez Infinite rerelease will boost the resolution to a more modern 1080p, at 60 frames per second, and will also feature a virtual reality version. In addition, it’ll feature the game’s original soundtrack on vinyl, along with a retrospective book and other goodies.
Those who want to dig in to the cult classic thrills of Rez Infinite can get it now on preorder . To sample its thrills, check out the trailer below.
