Carla and Mat travel often because their jobs require them to. During a trip to to Bangkok, Mat got down on one knee, in front of a beautiful sunset, and proposed to the love on his life, Carla. Because it’s exotic, and undiscovered for most of their guests, the couple chose to exchange vows at La Pirogue Hotel in Mauritius. The all white beach wedding was beautifully marked by the red aisle runner and touches of orange florals. This classic, elegant beach wedding was captured by the incredible Vanilla Photography .
The Couple:
Carla and Mat
The Wedding:
La Pirogue Hotel in Mauritius
The Inspiration:
I never dreamed of a 300 people and stereotyped wedding, I always wanted with a intimate wedding with our closest friends and family. The concept of the wedding was a fusion between cocktail/cruise/beach, we chose Mauritius because because it was exotic, not overrated, undiscovered for almost all of our guests and at the same time elegant and stylish but with a comfortable ‘paradisiac island’ spirit allowing the guests to really mingle and meet each other n have fun feeling the beautiful atmosphere of the Indian Ocean sand on their foots.
The Moments:
Our first dance of course. I’m a very lucky woman and I know I married a fantastic man. Signing the song together was kind of our way our eternal love declaration.
