Happy Monday and today we are starting with a simple and elegant Le Mas de la Rose wedding by the very first photographers who ever submitted to the blog over 4 years ago M&J Photography. It is a pleasure to welcome them back to the blog today for an utterly enchanting wedding, where we have fallen in love with every aspect from the gorgeous wedding venue, to the beautiful wedding stationery to the elegant bridesmaids dresses.
The venue for Anette and Magnus’ wedding was Le Mas de la Rose and bride Anette says: “We fell in love with the restored 17th century hamlet of old sheepfolds; a blend of simplicity and elegance. Perfect venue for our wedding.”
Bride Anette opted for a lace wedding dress which was romantic, timeless and elegant and kept the accessories simple with crystal earrings and a long veil adorning her half up/ half down hairstyle. Bridegroom Magnus went for a more modern look with a slim fit dark blue suit.
For the style Anette says: We wanted to kept it simple; White, beige and silver / grey. The venue is so beautiful so we did not want too much décor. The ceremony and cocktail areas were decorated with white pompoms with long ribbons and strung flowers, in trees.
For the dinning area it featured floating candles in small goldfish bowls, tall votive in stemmed glass vases, wine cork table card, church candles in cylinder vase and stainless steel lanterns.
The flowers for the big day were blousy, and full of romantic blooms. The Bridal bouquet was a beautiful bouquet including fluffy white hydrangeas, roses, white blousy foliage, silvery foliage and some spiky elements, Veronica.
Bridesmaids; smaller versions of the bridal bouquet and the buttonholes were a lovely mix of the smaller flower heads from the bouquets. For the ceremony there were strung flowers in trees and scattered petals along the aisle.
A super popular option for destination weddings, the bridesmaids wore Twobirds bridesmaid dresses in platinum (matching the groom/groomsmen ties) Swarovski earrings, a smaller version of the brides earrings.
During the celebrations all guests were invited to join in the shoe game. Anette: “We sat back to back in view of all the guests. We remove our shoes, and trade one with each other so that they’re holding one of each. We were then asked a series of questions about ourselves and our relationship (ranging from the sweet and fairly straightforward “Who said ‘I love you’ first?” to the controversial “Who is the better driver?”). We answered by holding up the corresponding shoe, and the entertainment comes from the fact that we can’t see what each other is answering.”
The catering for the wedding was created by Chef Fabien, whose menu is based exclusively on the Mas de la Rose organic garden and the best locally sourced products.
Photography is so important and Anette and Magnus said: “We got a long list of different photographers from our wedding planners. But there was no doubt when we saw M&J pictures on their web; we had to book them! We absolutely love their style, and the result was fabulous.”
