This week, footage has begun to surface on the web of a rather intriguing Star Wars vinyl that projects holograms while the record spins, rendering the Millennium Falcon and a TIE fighter in three glorious dimensions. Check out the video below from our friends at Decoded magazine .
It turns out it’s a special limited-edition version of the John Williams–composed Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack that’s just been released. The aforementioned holograms were designed by artist Tristan Duke, who hand-etched them into the grooves so they can be viewed simply by holding a direct light source above the player.
