Lauryn and John met in 2011 through mutual friends while John was in the Marine Corps. They hit it off immediately and John consistently made the long 7 hour drive every weekend to see Lauryn in Maryland. About a year later, John proposed at her favorite place, Myrtle Beach. An evening stroll at sunset led to Lauryn saying YES!
