Ok, I know what you are thinking – does the iron-on material really work on top of the large pill of the towels… and the answer is YES! I washed a trial version multiple times just to make sure!

The first step is to login to the Cricut Design Space and type out the words, initials, etc. that you want on your towels. For this project I used the Extreme Font, which is a Cricut font. Keep in mind that BOLD fonts work best for towel designs.

Next, I chose to add the heart design (#M46660) to my project from the image library.

Then I rotated the heart to sit a little crooked against the letters.

I wanted the letters and heart to cut out of the same material, and on the same cut so I clicked on both the word and heart and chose “attach”. This makes them both – one cut design. If you don’t attach them, they will cut separately.

I knew that the “Bride” word was too long for my initial cut, so I changed the color so I could cut the “bride” and other initials separately – on a different mat.

Next up is the cut! Make sure to choose “mirror image” for the iron on!!!

Place the glitter side down on your cutting mat, smooth and then feed into your machine!

You are actually getting a tiny sneak peek at my new craft room right here! I cannot wait to share the entire thing with you next week!!! It’s a dream… and I’m giving away a Cricut in celebration so tune in!

Choose “iron on” on the dial and let the machine do all the hard work for you!

Peel the designs off the mat and carefully cut around each word.

Weeding. Yep, that’s what it’s called. Peel away all excess iron-on material, leaving only your desired word.

Layout and iron your towel. Apply your new iron-on decal and set! You’ll need to iron this design for at least one minute total. Give it a really good press. Get it into the towel fibers. Peel off the plastic backing, give it a quick iron on top and then a good iron across the backside. After that you are ready for the next one!

I was able to cut all four of these from the same 12″ x 19″ material, I just did the “bride” in a second cut.

To display your cute towels, you’ll need to use this folding trick! Fold the towel in 4ths and then roll each side inwards – showing off your cute personalization! Then tie with a bow!

Super cute. Super easy… and a total treat for your bridesmaids + yourself!
